July 13th

Got to see Linda again today. I got to shower her to make her more comfortable. I think I got more water on me than on Linda.

No improvement. She is still vomiting. On drip because she can’t really drink. Even water tastes horrible. I’ve tried all the other flavour of drinks.

Vision not improved. I read all your messages of love and care. I can’t reply to all.

It’s a hard hard road.

I had a call from Donovan and Wilma today. I had to pass on to Linda a Donovan hug. If you have had one you will know they are precious

Lovely to update them on Linda

Thought for today

As I walked in the harbour this morning I remembered this hymn below. It’s easy when it’s easy but we prove our faith when it’s hard. Yes my anchor will hold, not because of my hold on my saviour but because of His hold on me.

“Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
Will your anchor drift or firm remain?

We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Stedfast and sure while the billows roll,
Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
Grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. “
